This app collects nothing about you and sends nothing to any server. It has no networking capability.
None of the following is a promise. They are technical facts about the current version of this app β its code contains no networking capability at all:
This data lives only in this device's app sandbox. We do not sync it to any cloud. It is included in the system's encrypted device backup the same way any other app's data is β that is uniform iOS behavior, and we neither can nor would read the contents of that backup.

Deleting the app deletes all of the above. You can also delete it at any time in the app under Settings β Data β Delete all records.
Used to measure ambient noise before a test, to judge whether the room is quiet enough for a hearing check.
Nothing is recorded, and nothing leaves the device. The app derives a single loudness value in decibels from the signal and discards the audio itself. The microphone is on only while the room-check screen is open, and turns off the moment you leave it.
Write: only when you tap "Save to Health" yourself, the result of that test is written to the Hearing category of the Health app as an audiogram (HKAudiogramSample). If you don't tap it, nothing is written.
Read: used to compare against hearing test results you already have.
We follow Apple's health data rules strictly: health data is never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and is never given to any third party. In fact it never leaves your device.
Used to remind you to test again 12 months after your last test. You can turn it off any time under Settings β Retest reminder. Notifications are generated on this device and never pass through a server.
This version contains no advertising and integrates no advertising SDK.
The app loads no ad content and makes no ad-related network requests. If a future version introduces advertising, we will update this policy before doing so and say so clearly inside the app β and health-related data will never be used for advertising purposes.
The criteria in this app are based on adult hearing data and do not apply to anyone under 18. The app asks your age before the test starts, and will not continue for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect any information from minors β in fact we collect no information from anyone.
This app is not a medical device. It cannot diagnose hearing conditions and does not replace an examination by a hearing professional. Results are for reference only. If you have concerns about your hearing, consult an ENT physician or an audiologist.
If this policy changes substantively β for example, if any form of data collection is introduced β we will update the version number and effective date on this page and note it in the app's release notes.
